Human Relaxation Centre · Sydney
Integrate Eastern and Western body-mind studies, applying traditional methods and modern techniques, aim to heal those destined to be healed, dispel ignorance, and soothe tension—fostering a life of health, happiness, energy and capability.
The Approach
Taoist bodywork starts from a simple observation: tension is rarely where it hurts. A tight shoulder is usually the end of a chain that runs somewhere else entirely. So the first part of any session is finding that chain.
From there the work is slow and specific — pressure held along the meridians, joints mobilised rather than forced, and breathing used to let the body release on its own terms. Nothing is done to you faster than you can follow.
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. Lao Tzu
Who It Helps
Most people arrive with one of these. You don't need a diagnosis to book — describing it in your own words is enough.
Not sure which of these fits? Send a short message describing it and we'll tell you honestly whether this is the right thing.
Therapies
Every session is built around what your body is actually doing on the day. These are the methods we draw from.
The core of the practice. Rhythmic pressure, kneading and joint work along the muscle lines — firm, but always at a pace you can breathe through.
Sustained pressure on specific points rather than broad strokes. Quieter than it sounds, and often the one that shifts something long-standing.
Suction cups used to draw stagnation out of tight, congested tissue. Usually added to a tui na session rather than booked on its own.
Your Practitioner
Modern Taoist Bodywork Practitioner
Ming-Quan trained in Tui na and internal Qigong practice in Henan over six years before moving to Sydney in 2022, and has been treating out of the same room in North Ryde since then. Most of the people who come through it were sent by someone who had already been troubled by unexplained distress.
The work is unhurried on purpose. One client at a time, no double-booking, and an honest answer if bodywork isn't the right thing for what you've got.
